Beyoncé - RENAISSANCE (2022) Bey’s recent tour and recent cinematic release of the tour/doc has got me playing this more than I did the year it came out. I think it might have replaced the self titled release as my favourite album by her... a hard thing to do but she did it!

LÉON - Circles (2022)I’m a big fan of LÉON’s and completely dumbfounded that I did not give this the attention it deserved when it came out. I re-discovered it this summer by chance and there has not been a week that I have not played it. A ‘no skips’ affair and while ’Soaked’ was an early standout, I found my favourite tracks switching up after every few listens. Fleetwood Mac and Springsteen influences littered within this and LÉON’s voice remains supreme.

R.D. Thomas - What Circus is This? (2022)This was one of my favourite releases last year, it was released in December. I came across R.D. Thomas by chance when looking for new music in 2020, he has links to Ben Howard and Blaze of Feather and I think it might have been from them I came across him. A nice melancholic indie folk record with laidback melodies but poignant lyricism.
